There
are a number of ways volunteers can
help Catherine’s Inspiration for
Kids in our efforts to protect the
children and women of South Africa
and other countries. You can:
1.
Conduct
an email or letter-writing campaign.
-
Raise
awareness of the situation by
informing your friends, family
and colleagues about this
problem and why we, as global
citizens, must take action;
-
Refer
others to the Declaration
Condemning Child Rape, and ask
them to sign the petition, which
will be presented to the South
African government during the
African March of Millions.
2.
Raise
funds for our organization.
-
Bake sales;
-
Car
washes;
-
Fundraising events;
-
Solicit corporate sponsorships;
-
Make organizations in your
community aware of the unique
sponsorship opportunities
offered by
CIFKIDS;
-
Request toy donations from
businesses and individuals for
our annual toy drive.
3.
Help with
the “leg work.”
-
Gather information and create
databases, such as mailing
lists;
-
Make phone calls to local
companies;
-
Help at local fundraisers;
-
Help with mailing projects.
4.
Donate
your special skills or expertise
-
Are
you a fundraising champion?
-
Would you be willing to
volunteer your marketing or PR
skills?

Can
you use your community contacts
to help
CIFKIDS?
International volunteers can also
help Catherine’s Inspiration for
Kids in our efforts to protect the
children and women of South Africa
and other countries. You can:
1. Help
organize the African March of
Millions at the grassroots level.
-
Go
into the townships and
communities of affected
countries like South Africa,
Lesotho, Botswana and others and
gather support from local
citizens’
-
Solicit support and sponsorship
for AMoM from local businesses
and corporations;
-
Speak to students and teachers
in local schools and on college
campuses to gain their support
for AMoM;
-
Register and organize local
volunteers for the African March
of Millions and the
Love in Action
Concert.
2.
Become one of the hundreds of
volunteers needed on-site at the
African March of Millions (AMoM), or the
Love in Action
Concert, to
assure that the events run smoothly
and without incidence.
-
Help set up and break down
tents, tables, chairs, banners,
etc. the day before, day of and
day after each event;
-
Hand out goody bags to
participants;
-
Help with on-site security;
-
Act
as greeter or liaison;
-
Help with after-event clean up
duties.
